Room
1. Please access the lab from the door marked
#20!
2. No food, drink, candy, or gum.
Computers/ Keyboard
1. One person per computer, unless otherwise
approved.
2. Keep the keyboard on the
tabletop.
3. Fingers are the only things to be used on the
keyboards.
4. Inform lab supervisor of any technical problems
immediately.
Logging In
1. Use your first and last name as your
username.
2. Your student
ID number is your password.
Disk
1. No software/music CD's from home.
2. It is recommended that students obtain a
jump drive to use for saving.
Internet/Email/Computer Use
1. Students may only access the Internet to do
research for a school related assignment.
2. No emailing allowed.
3. Students may only access the internet sites
listed on the school webpage.
Printers
1. Printing is limited
to school work.
2. First page is free all additional pages are 10 cents per page for
black.
3. Color printing with permission only. Charge is $.50
per page.
Scanner
1. Scanning permitted with approval.
2. Scanning limited to school
use.
Things that result in the
Three Strike Rule
1.
Trying to
fix a computer yourself.
2. Any malicious use of the computer including but not
limited to
putting foreign objects in the drive.
tampering with another person's disk and/or files.
changing desktops, screen-savers, etc.
3. Playing computer games without permission.
4. Using someone else's account.
5. Sharing your account.
6. Violating the Student Network Use Handbook including
but not limited to
downloading of programs, games, music or files from the Internet.
checking or sending personal e-mail (ex: Hotmail, AOL, etc).
going onto inappropriate Internet sites, 'chat rooms', E-Bay, My Space, etc.
using Internet for non-school use.
unapproved surfing the 'net'.
7. Printing from the internet (must use copy/paste into
Word).
8. Abusing printing privileges.
Before Leaving
1. Log out of the computer.
2. Clean up work area.
3. Push in your chair.
